David Johnson – Inventor and Designer

David Johnson has spent more than thirty years shaping the eyewear industry. He created MicroVision Optical’s patented Folding Readers, which earned a spot on Oprah’s Favorite Things, and he has developed lens technology for global brands including Foster Grant, Calvin Klein, and Marchon 3D. Johnson is the inventor of Neox™ lens technology, the foundation of every Parallel product. His work combines technical precision with a passion for helping people see clearly in every environment.

David Wetherelt – President and Advocate

David Wetherelt is the President of Like Minds Alliance and co-owner of Parallel Eyewear. Diagnosed later in life with Autism and ADHD, Wetherelt transformed his personal journey of misdiagnosis and resilience into a mission of advocacy and inclusion. He leads Parallel with a focus on social impact, ensuring that every pair of eyewear funds coaching, advocacy, and opportunities for neurodivergent individuals. His vision makes Parallel more than eyewear. It makes it a movement.
